Lyrebirds Tea Towel

Our tea towels feature original contemporary illustrations and have been hand screen-printed by us from our studio in Melbourne Australia.

This lyrebirds design is one of our first, and is one of our most popular design. The lyrebird is a ground-dwelling Australian bird,  most notable for their superb ability to mimic natural and artificial sounds from their environment. As well as  extraordinary mimicking abilities lyrebirds are notable because of the striking beauty of the male bird’s huge tail when it is fanned out in display. Lyrebirds have unique plumes of neutral coloured tail feathers and are among Australia’s best-known native birds.

Water based and solvent free pigment has been used in the printing process to help protect the environment. The base cloth is 100% natural linen which has been chosen for its high absorbent qualities.
